Professional Development Meeting

Manager Night! Bring Your Manager and they Eat Free!

Wednesday, November 14

Location: DoubleTree by Hilton Denver-Thornton

Topic: Leading people and being good at it.

Speaker: Chief Master Sergeant (Retired) Robert Vasquez

Chief Vásquez is such an excellent speaker we want everyone to hear him so we are offering members the opportunity to have their managers eat for free.

What is Leadership? However you answered that question, Chief Bob Vásquez will give you a different perspective in his talk, The Truth About Leadership! He'll dispel a myth or two and provide you some insights that will make you exclaim, ALL IN! He'll forever lay to rest the question of whether leaders are born or made. His thoughts and ideas are based on a life-long study of leadership and believe it or not, he's actually led!

Chief Master Sergeant (Retired) Bob Vásquez teaches character and leadership at the United States Air Force Academy. An author, musician, motivational speaker, life coach and mentor, Chief Vásquez’s highest accomplishments are raising two daughters, Tesa and Elyse, five granddaughters, Nieves, Alexia, McKinlee, Marissa, and Jojo, a grandson (FINALLY!) Bobby, and two sons-in-law, Nate and Jeremy, and growing closer to his lovely bride of more than 40 wonderful and fulfilling years, Debbie.

He’s developed the basic character development course for freshmen cadets and has played an important part in developing and delivering all of the courses the USAFA Center for Character and Leadership Development offers. He is an adjunct professor in the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs' Business School, which allows him to share his unique leadership experience with a very different audience, providing civilian students a different perspective than they would otherwise receive.

He’s written and published five books; HEIRPOWER! Eight Basic Habits of Exceptionally Powerful Lieutenants!, So Ya Wanna Be THE Chief?!, S.S.G.T., A College Freshman’s Beyond Survival Guide, and What I Learned from Dad Made Me a Better Man
