The Headlines:

In the role of Customer Service Analyst working in Golden, CO you will be part of the Customer Supply Chain Organization. You will manage forecasts, inventory, orders, shipment information, and demand analysis services for a defined set of breweries, distributors, distribution centers, import partners, contract partners, field sales and marketing personnel.

 

In this role, it’s critical to drive value creation for stakeholder groups on initiatives/issues touching the distributor where feedback and the distributors’ point of view needs representation. Drive to continuously meet or exceed service, financial and product supply goals by partnering with the distribution center inventory team and internal stakeholder groups.

 

This position reports the Regionsl Cr. Manager of Customer Service and Supply and works closely with Sales Operation Managers, Distributors, and Logistics Team.

 

The Responsibilities:

  • Manage distributor relationships to ensure that their product needs are satisfied
  • Capitalize on all wholesale/retail sales opportunities, through proactive inventory management and analysis, while balancing distributors’ and MillerCoors goals/costs
  • Make timely decisions to resolve distributor, field sales, and brewery requests/problems with a sense of urgency, leveraging superior customer working relationships with all internal and external contacts
  • Maintain the integrity of forecasting, ordering and reporting systems that are used by MillerCoors, import and contract distributors, providing users training and guidance as needed

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A. or B. S.) in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or related degree from a four-year college or university.
  • 1+ years of experience working in a data-intensive position or with “big data.”
  • Advanced skills and experience with Excel.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to convey findings from complex data sets with use of easy to understand charts, graphs, and observations.
  • Ability to articulate detailed business requirements for IT reporting and project request documents.
  • Well-developed verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of data analysis experience in a manufacturing or logistics environment.
  • Strong understanding of statistical modeling and/or operations research concepts.
  • Experience with additional data analysis tools such as Tableau, SAS, R, or statistical modeling tools.
  • Familiarity with SQL and ability to write basic queries.

DISH’s Manufacturing Department ensures the high-quality condition of millions of satellite receivers, remote controls, and other accessories. State-of-the-art facilities in El Paso, TX, Spartanburg, SC, and Denver, CO, use advanced diagnostic tools and equipment to test, refurbish, and redistribute hardware to customers.

Responsibilities:
The Business Operations Analyst will be responsible for analyzing large data sets to create trend reports, developing tools to audit operational processes, investigating irregularities in our shipments, and building analytical tools and models to improve our transportation programs.

  • Research individual shipping invoices that do not contain necessary information to automatically bill to specific departments within Dish.
  • Work with internal teams such as accounting, finance, manufacturing, and distribution to develop reports useful in understanding freight costs and patterns.
  • Respond to carrier inquiries about payment status on invoices.
  • Work with Dish’s Freight Payment vendor to ensure carrier compliance on invoices and to manage freight payment business rules.
  • Assist internal teams with shipping and ensuring that all information is provided for accurate invoice payment.
  • Develop reporting to ensure the freight payment program business rules remain up to date and accurate.
  • Analyze transportation data to look for opportunities to improve processes and recommend best practices.
  • Participate in quarterly business reviews with our Freight Payment vendor and transportation partners as necessary.
  • Assist the Logistics team with other tasks as needed which may include data entry, reporting and analysis, partner management, and more.

JOB SUMMARY

Under minimal supervision, performs difficult, complex, and highly specialized logistics operations and high-level administrative work. Work requires a comprehensive knowledge of the logistics field in which it operates. Serves as an expert resource in the occupational field. Incumbent often makes decisions and commitments without prior approval on matters that are non-routine and important in nature. ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Process orders and shipment instructions to warehouses and carriers.
  • Identifies problems and provides possible solutions.
  • Utilizes established processes and systems to support internal and external customers.
  • Provides high level administrative support that is difficult, complex, and highly specialized to the Logistics Department which involves organizational and coordination activities, as well as independent research and data collection.
  • Monitors promptness of documentation entry into appropriate databases, distributes and compiles reports from various systems and sources, and validates accuracy of input.
  • Maintains system accuracy and processes corrective actions as required
  • Gathers information about operations in order to measure effectiveness, improve processes, resolve problems and optimize operational expenses and customer service levels.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Education

High school diploma or GED.

 

Experience

Minimum 5 years experience.

 

Skills

  • Experience in use of computerized ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), transportation management, or warehousing systems
  • General knowledge of Import/Export Compliance and Security Regulations as applicable to a logistics operation including: Duty Drawback, NAFTA (North American Free Trade Agreement), C-TPAT (Customer-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism, use of Denied Parties listing.
  • Knowledge and use of relevant PC software applications and skills to use them effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
