Commercial Supply Chain Analyst-Boulder
Commercial Supply Chain Analyst– API and Drug Product Manufacturing
This position will be responsible for the setup, integration, management and process implementation of an ERP system within the commercial supply chain function. This role requires a firm understanding of ERP and planning systems as well as strong working knowledge regarding purchase order management and financial control activities. This role will provide tactical support throughout the supply chain and will have transactional responsibilities within the ERP system. In addition to the ERP aspects of this role, the supply chain analyst will manage the receipt and movement of materials throughout the supply chain and will lead the creation of a visible master schedule, which will be used to manage the movement of materials throughout the commercial supply chain.
Duties and Responsibilities
General:
- The supply chain analyst is responsible for developing an ERP data architecture internally and managing integrations with TPO’s externally. This includes the gathering of business requirements with respect to finance, commercial operations and supply chain and creating workflows, procedures and data architecture satisfying the business.
- Performing ERP transactions and creating release procedures within the ERP system.
- The supply chain analyst will also provide tactical support to the supply chain group as related to:
- All Purchase Order activities from gathering the executed quotes or SOW’s, issuance of the purchase order and monitoring acceptance of the services or materials requested.
- Reconciliation of in process purchase orders and receivables within the supply chain. Conducts review of invoices against all open purchase orders against contracts/service agreements and quarterly accrual discussions.
- Internal supply chain vendor management contacts as needed.
- Reconciling Ophthotech ERP inventory to material stored at a TPO on a scheduled basis.
Planning:
- Creates and maintains a master schedule for the production, movement and receipt of API and drug product for commercial and clinical use.
- Ensure intermediates, raw and starting materials are available, released and tested at API and DP CMO’s to support the manufacturing schedule. Maintains the status of these items within the ERP system. This includes the planning and scheduling of intermediates in the ERP system for production related activities, including commercial requirements, special projects, and new/existing product changes.
- Proactively works with members of the supply chain group to inform internal key stakeholders of production changes/material delays.
Required Knowledge
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical and organizational skills
- Strong time management, written and verbal communication skills
- Strong judgement and decision making skills
Education and Experience
- BS/BA in Business Administration, Operations/Production Management, Supply Chain Management or related field of Study
- 5 – 10 years of relevant work experience in supply chain management, planning and procurement processes
- ERP knowledge both functional and construction of the critical system parameters in developing a planning / inventory control model
- Professional certifications a plus
