The Inventory Control Manager will be responsible for identifying, analyzing and improving all inventory related transactions that result in financial loss to the company. This position will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a cycle count, Kanban and scrap/deviation program. The Inventory Control Manager will build and develop a team of inventory control employees across multiple shifts. This position will also provide input into production line setup.

The Inventory Control Manager will have direct responsibility for:

Ensuring adequate inventory of materials and products in accordance with inventory cycles and organizational philosophy.
Formalizing and developing current cycle count program.
Growing current Kanban program and working with Warehouse team to develop inventory supermarkets.
Revamping current scrap/deviation process.
Identifying and remedying inventory control challenges, including deep investigation into inventory adjustments.
Conducting daily inventory analysis to solve inventory problems.
Developing and implementing inventory control procedures.
Training and managing a team of inventory control staff.
Designing strategies to minimize the cost or time required to move goods.
Reviewing the success of logistical functions and identifying areas for improvement.
Presenting performance data to management.
Proposing improvements to management.
Staying current on advances in logistics technology and incorporating new technologies into procedures.
Leading a team of inventory control personnel through process of counting and recording inventory.
Actual inventory counts; must be knowledgeable about inventory items to be counted, the counting procedures used, and location of all inventories.
Identifying items as coming from or belonging to the customer, keeping those items segregated from other production materials/tools, and maintaining control of customer inventory.

Qualified candidates must possess:
5+ years of experience leading inventory control programs in a manufacturing environment
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, or related field
Strong inventory skills
APICS certification (CPIM – Certified in Production & Inventory Management) preferred.
Experience with ERP systems with a strong working knowledge of MRP processing logic
Knowledge and demonstrated ability in the use of Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, & Access

Job Duties:

 

Primary Purpose of Position:

Responsible for tactical planning of demand for Ball Beverage Packaging North & Central America, targeted toward large national accounts.

Essential Functions:

·         Primary liaison between major national customer(s) and cross functional partners at Ball to ensure the best possible forecast is created/loaded into demand planning system

·         Builds relationships with external customer(s) to ensure best possible tactical forecast by item for inventory efficiency and revenue recognition accruals

·         Partners with commercial, supply planning, finance, and customers to conduct data cleansing activities for planning tools including item chaining, new market introduction, and new product demand

·         Reconciles customer forecasts with finance/accounting to ensure proper load for revenue recognition

·         Develops templates then translates customer forecasts into compatible format for load into demand planning system as required for revenue recognition

·         Resolves customer forecast load issues by partnering with customers and data management teams to resolve issues as required for revenue recognition

·         Utilizes forecast accuracy reports to analyze results, determine trends, and enact solutions to improve accuracy

·         Reviews tactical demand trend and adjusts forecast input and output as needed to reflect trend

·         Provides root cause analysis for customer specific variances to current forecast plan

·         Develops demand reporting tools for both regular use and ad-hoc customer analysis

·         Develops tactical processes to ensure consistent forecast outcomes

·         Collaborates during consensus demand meetings with cross-functional partners to ensure alignment on forecasts

Position Requirements:

·         Broad training in a related field usually acquired through an accredited college.

·         Job related experience for 2 year(s) minimum with a Fortune 500 company.

·         Working knowledge of the following areas desirable: business principles, supply chain processes, financial modeling, Microsoft Word and Excel, Tableau, JDE Enterprise One, Oracle Value Chain Planning, and other applicable software applications.

·         Ability to make detailed presentations of financial analysis on projects and a variety of business problems to top management.

·         Must be able to organize, plan, and prioritize.

·         Ability to meet deadlines, concentrates, and pays attention to detail.

Director Logistics

The Director Logistics is responsible for leading all logistics operations and sourcing for our inbound and outbound transport and off-site warehouses for the Johns Manville Global Procurement and Logistics Team.

The role includes the direct leadership of multiple logistics and transportation professionals. In addition, as a senior member of the supply chain organization, this leader owns the supply chain relationship with one or more of JM's business units.

This role also leads and supports the development of critical processes and metrics, global carrier relationships and global supply agreements to ensure JM maintains a competitive cost position. These activities include carrier management, contract negotiations, problem resolution, process improvement, quality, service delivery and cost reduction.

The position is a member of the Global Procurement and Logistics Leadership Team and reports directly to the VP Global Procurement and Logistics. Position is in our Littleton, CO facility.

 

Responsibilities:

Lead teams, develop required strategies and perform against goals for Logistics and Operational Excellence. Ensures safe, compliant and sustainable shipment of regulated and non-regulated products across all transportation modes - truck, rail, ocean, and air for both bulk and packaged goods.

·       Develop projects and programs to meet cost savings targets and process improvement goals to achieve 5% in annual cost reductions. Identify process improvement and variance reduction opportunities and take actions required to implement.

·       Provides direction, guidance and leadership to ensure individual, team and business/functional unit results are achieved

·       Actively develops individuals for future leadership roles within and across the organization

·       Builds and manages a highly skilled and high performing team of approximately 30 direct and indirect reports.

 

Qualifications:

·       Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain or technical field with a minimum of 15 years of work experience in supply chain management

·       Demonstrated success in attracting, developing and building high performing business teams including the ability to assess and develop talent through effective coaching and feedback

·       Working knowledge of national and international transportation regulation, standards, and compliance

·       Excellent contract negotiation skills

·       Proven ability to lead teams of supply chain professionals and to deliver results against clear performance objectives

·       Proven ability managing supplier/carrier relationships

·       Demonstrated customer orientation

·       History of building collaborative relationships

·       Proven ability to make timely decisions
