Supply Planning Analyst: Become the Newest Member of the VF Family

Supply Planning Analysts will be responsible for procuring supply to meet service and inventory objectives. You will work to ensure on time deliveries from vendors and to customers. Key partners will include Global Sourcing, Logistics, Demand Planning, Retail Buyers, Product Teams and Customer Service. Additionally, you will root cause supply delays and work to resolve issues proactively.

 

How You Will Make a Difference:

  • Recommend and execute product purchases based upon demand inputs and other crucial supply planning criteria (current inventory levels, vendor & supplier capacity, minimums, and buy readiness). Issue purchase requisitions to Global Sourcing Teams.
  • Track conversion of purchase requisitions to vendor purchase orders.
  • Continually monitor demand needs and supply timing to identify issues and opportunities. Adjust supply timing as needed to improve service to customers and / or meet inventory objectives.
  • Closely partner with cross functional stakeholders to ensure delivery of current month financial objectives.
  • Partner cross-functionally to manage line list changes and ensure changes are processed in a timely manner.
  • Participate in monthly S&OP process. Highlight issues and opportunities to drive improved supply chain operational performance and achieve business objectives.
  • Participate in longer term view of supply availability taking into consideration demand needs by product type and any potential capacity or material constraints.
  • Participate in key projects to evolve supply chain capabilities.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and reporting as required.

 

Skills for Success:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from four-year college or university (preferred concentration in Engineering, Supply Chain or Business Management)
  • APICS or Six-Sigma Certifications are a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to understand, assess, & problem solve by leveraging technical and analytical skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a cross-functional team environment
  • Proven ability to multi-task effectively
  • Advanced Excel Skills (pivot tables, macros)
  • Understanding of reporting tools (Cognos/Brio)
  • Experience in project planning and implementation
  • Self-starter with excellent follow through
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • SAP experience a plus

 

Special Physical and/or Mental Requirements:

  • Travel by air and overnight, as required less than 5% of time.

The Headlines:

In the role of a Materials Planning Analyst working in Milwaukee WI or Golden, CO you will be part of the Customer Supply Chain team. This person will support the planning and execution of packaging materials in a fast paced and challenging consumer packaging environment

This position reports to the Sr. Manager of Materials Planning and works closely with our breweries and the Supply Planning team.

The Responsibilities:

  • Work cross functionally with breweries, customer service, supply planning and the transportation/logistics teams on all packaging related to new product introductions, promotions, and graphics changes
  • Drive process improvements and system enhancements to create efficiencies and streamlined/automated processes
  • Maintain operational data, metrics and reporting
  • Provide ad-hoc analytical support to the rest of the material planning and supply planning teams

The Other Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain or Business required
  • Excellent PC skills (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, MS-Outlook)
  • 2+ Years work experience in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Production Planning, Forecasting, Sales & consumer goods industries
  • Possess a proven track record of achievement in a high speed, high volume manufacturing environment

Supply Chain Management Specialist I

 

What you’ll do:

  • Create, maintain, and distribute department reports.
  • Assist in development/optimization of Integrated Supply Chain.
  • Assist Supply Management (SM) compliance officer in compliance reviews and audits.
  • Support cross-functional team in Supply Management efforts.
  • Provide new business proposal support for material proposal operations IAW company policy / compliance requirements.
  • Efficiently use, champion, and provide continuous improvement feedback for the Material Proposal Pricing (MPP) tool.
  • Provide input, analysis, and support for annual additional quantities
  • Monitor proposal process efficiency to support organization feedback and performance metrics.
  • Provide assistance to SCM outside of core role as needed in order to meet key milestone dates.
  • Develop metrics that will monitor proposal vs. actuals for current programs.

What you’ll need:

  • BS/BA in a related field plus 2 or more years related experience.
  • Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master’s Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.

Coordinate international shipments; ensure proper documentation, timely deliveries and receipt through Customs.
Develop and implement process improvements to improve customer service levels and reduce supply chain costs.

Reporting and Metrics
Analyze customer, region, product group, carrier and location to ensure customer service is satisfactory; identify areas of decreasing profitability.
Develop and audit carrier scorecard to identify and compare pricing, service, quality, performance and other related issues or problems.
Maintain Traffic Dashboard in order to update and maintain various metrics to ensure goals and objectives are obtained.
Review shipment activities including but not limited to checking rates, transit time, etc. to determine if proper carrier was used.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
DISH is looking for an Inventory Planning Analyst to join our In-Home Services division to support our inventory operations. This analyst will focus on supporting inventory operations within the field organization which consists of over 130 field locations and over $40 Million of inventory. Assignments will include inventory demand planning for all field locations, strategic analysis and rebalancing of inventory, process improvement initiatives, and support of field operations. The ideal candidate will have a background in material planning, forecasting, data analysis, operational support. Prior experience in a business support role is beneficial.

Primary Responsibilities fall into the following categories:

  • Analyze inventory consumption, forecast, and replenishment data to provide guidance to field locations.
  • Develop comprehensive demand planning models
  • Build transition and launch plans for new products
  • Build relationships enterprise wide, and successfully work across departments to coordinate and communicate with various groups and key players.
  • Communicate with employees in field locations in written and spoken communication.
  • Support field team operations as needed
  • Evaluate business processes and provide direction for corrective action as needed.

Skills - Experience and Requirements

A successful Inventory Planning Analyst will have the following:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Prior experience in data analytics, demand planning, or material planning
  • Telecom/media or other technical industry experience is nice to have, with a focus on operations.
  • Strong follow through abilities and must have strong ownership of projects and tasks
