Northrop Grumman is seeking qualified and motivated professionals for the role of Supply Chain Planning Analyst 1 with experiences in supply chain management and/or related fields (including business and financial planning, contracts administration, project management, logistics, and manufacturing). NGMS domestic facilities are located in Maryland, California, Chicago, Virginia, Alabama, Colorado, New York, and Florida. Additionally, some positions may be remotely supported from other NGMS facilities. Depending on the location, Northrop Grumman may be able to provide relocation assistance and flexible work arrangements.


The Supply Chain Planning Analyst 1 responsibilities will encompass:
- Providing support to the program team to evaluate material and equipment requirements throughout the life of the program
- Understanding the breadth of the supply chain management scope (including materials management, procurement,
subcontracts, material finance, and supplier relationship management)
- Planning and coordinating program requirements
- Monitoring and establishing material inventory
- Addressing supplier capacity and/or production issues
- Evaluating suppliers and noting key performance indicators


Candidates must be able to make sound decisions in a timely manner, display strong interpersonal skills, and have an agile perspective of compliance protocol mandated by regulated industry.

 

Qualifications

 

Basic Qualifications:
A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must possess:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree from an accredited institution
- 0+ years of professional experience in supply chain management, or related fields, to include logistics, manufacturing/
project management, business management, or information systems
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership, critical thinking and innovative behaviors in past projects, roles or experiences
- Proficiency in MS Office suite
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)

Preferred Qualifications:

- Professional experience in a regulated industry; to include Aerospace & Defense, Insurance, Financial Services, Telecommunications

- SAP experience

 Kelly Services is seeking a candidate to fill a Director of Supply Chain for a customer in Englewood CO.  Supply Chain Manager’s looking to take the next step up would be considered as well. 

 

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

This position reports to the General Manager. The role is responsible for directing an organization’s overall supply chain operations, including purchasing and inventory of raw materials, selection of vendors, and distribution of finished goods.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Implement best practices in procurement and strategic sourcing
  • Identify and qualify suppliers of materials, equipment, and/or supplies
  • Lead material cost reduction efforts, pricing negotiations, delivery and other issues with suppliers
  • Ensures all locations have the components, equipment, and supplies needed to meet production goals and manage those in a controlled environment
  • Provide leadership that includes performance management, mentorship, hiring, development and training for retention
  • Manages physical inventory counts, data, and system reconciliation at all locations
  • Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function
  • Develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure
  • Evaluates past performance data to forecast needs and production scheduling

 SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supply Chain Staff for San Jose and Colorado facilities

 

EXPERIENCE AND NECESSARY SKILLS:

  1. Bachelor’s degree
  2. Pharmaceutical background preferred
  3. Multiple site experience
  4. Proven negotiation skills
  5. Regulated industry background preferred
  6. 10 year of related management experience is required
  7. APICs/CPIM certification strongly desired
  8. Working knowledge of cGMP guidelines/standards

Manufacturing Execution Planner

Perform manufacturing planning tasks associated with the development and/or repetitive manufacture of complex aerospace products.

What you’ll do:

  • Requisition materials for production programs using internal system tools.
  • Use existing business systems (including Material Requirements Planning (MRP); material and shop floor status reporting).
  • Plan project materials (reservations, transfers, excess material, etc.) and resources for low-rate and full-rate production products utilizing both manual and MRP internal tools.
  • Interface with scheduling group to coordinate and schedule service centers and support labs in support of program manufacturing schedules.
  • Kitting/staging the movement/expedite of materials, components and assemblies between manufacturing operations (both in-house and at outside suppliers).
  • Determine process steps / routing sequence (with consultation from Manufacturing Engineering) to complete and manage shop orders per Quality Business System (QBS) requirements.
  • Coordinate planning needs with procurement, design, manufacturing, and quality assurance engineering personnel as required.
  • Provide program status (procurement, cost, schedule status) to engineers, work center leads, and program management in support of program schedules.
  • Support work area performance metrics including 100% “on-time delivery.”
  • Work with management and other team members to achieve the desired results.
  • Follow work instructions / guidelines IAW the Quality Business System.
  • Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Support Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.

What you’ll need:

  • High School diploma or equivalent plus 4 or more years of related experience.
  • Each higher-level related degree, i.e., Bachelor’s or Master’s, may substitute for two years of related experience. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
  • Strong Customer-Service skills.
  • Overall understanding of BOM and product structure for assigned programs.

Working Conditions:

  • Work is performed in an office environment.
  • Travel and local commute between Ball campuses and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.
