About the Job:
Our Procurement team finds strategic approaches to procuring key resources for Danone like milk, water and plastic. As a part of this team, you will work with colleagues to find suppliers and resources that fit with our business goals, promote a circular economy and support Danone’s One Planet, One Health vision.
As part of the North American Indirect Sourcing team, the Sourcing Manager within the CAPEX and Industrial Services team will be responsible for strategic category management of MRO and Industrial Services spend for Danone. This position will be responsible for implementing the strategic vision of creating and leading a strong plant purchasing community to include developing and deploying company standard purchasing processes, implementing corporate initiatives at the site level, training on supplier relationship management, and working towards leading a centralized MRO purchasing organization. The ideal candidate will have proven experience creating processes, reducing complexity, driving efficiency and producing savings within the category and in partnership with stakeholders. Hands on experience with plant MRO purchasing/maintenance/inventory systems such as Maximo, MVP or SAP PM is highly valued. This role is a critical enabler for both North American and Global initiatives. Developing a close partnership with internal resources, cross functional stakeholders, and suppliers is critical to the success of this role in addition to researching and understanding industry best practices and working with an extended team to deliver an aligned vision.
Position Location:
For External hires: The position will be based in Broomfield CO. External Hires with a high level of MRO expertise (4+ yrs managing the category) and industry experience may potentially be based at any Danone location.
For Internal Hires: This position may be based at any Danone location.
Travel:
Flexibility to travel across North America for 25% to 30% of work days.
Position Functions:
MRO and Industrial Services Category Management (Spare Parts, Services, and Operating supplies for manufacturing plants)
- Develop executable sourcing strategies
- Create and present robust data spend analysis
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop sourcing strategies for respective categories
- Support growth through external partnerships that deepen collaboration and foster innovation
- Identify opportunities to maximize Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)
- Drive sourcing decisions through developing, adopting, facilitating, and implementing tools and process
- Define sourcing strategy through market analysis to identify best practices, identify gaps, risks and opportunities
- Experience with spend visibility tools or other analytical tools preferred
- Experience with financial savings/spend tracking and reporting preferred
Contract Management
- Develop and launch RFQs / RFPs (request for quotation/proposal) to select suppliers in targeted categories
- Analyze the proposals and make recommendations to key internal stakeholders
- Anticipate and address stakeholder concerns to ensure full alignment on direction
- Negotiate business terms, as well as legal terms and conditions
- Draft contracts. Lead contract approval process activities
- Partner with key stakeholders to monitor and ensure contractual compliance
- Experience with e-sourcing/e-procurement preferred
Supplier Performance Management
- Implement and/or maintain supplier performance programs to track supplier partnership results and overall benefit to the company.
- Understand supplier’s positioning with the company and within the industry and develop subsequent relationship and sourcing strategies.
- Develop KPI’s, define objectives of the relationship and ensure clarity with suppliers on how to quantify, track and report on those metrics.
- Collaborate with global team where applicable to assess performance of suppliers
- Correct issues where needed and manage action plans
Project Management
- Lead productivity/savings projects from development through implementation and on-going results tracking
- Participate in Global initiatives to implement value generation for the business
- Monitor, review and communicate project status
Budget & Productivity Management
- Manage suppliers and spend within assigned categories, prioritized by opportunity
- Identify new projects to create Cost Out Value In (COVI) opportunities, validate with finance, seek and attain buy-in for these projects, build budget with other functions, realize and track the productivities on a monthly basis.

The base compensation range for this position is $75,000-99,000. About You:
You will have:
- Minimum of 6 -8 years’ experience in strategic purchasing, supply chain, finance, manufacturing or operations with demonstrated skills in supplier relationship management, communication and cross-functional alignment
- Indirect sourcing experience in CAPEX, MRO or industrial services, or extensive equivalent manufacturing environment experience in maintenance, engineering, or plant finance.
- Effective cross functional project leadership, negotiation, collaboration skills, analytical and communication skills are expected.
- Engineering manufacturing, plant maintenance, inventory or plant controller (finance) backgrounds are also a strong asset and could be considered in lieu of MRO/Industrial Services procurement experience.
- Experience and knowledge of the MRO/industrial services industry is required
- Hands on experience with purchasing systems such as Maximo, MVP or SAP PM strongly preferred
- Ability to relate to, advocate for, advance and lead plant purchasing community in delivering corporate strategy and standardize process
- Ability to develop strategic and sustainable initiatives and implement using thoughtful change management practices
- Comfortable in facing ambiguity with resilience and tenacity
- Demonstrated peer to peer leadership
- Demonstrated cross functional leadership and ability to influence broader thought
- Process oriented mindset and proven ability to develop and deploy standardized processes
- Proven ability to implement corporate initiatives at the site level
