Gates Corporation is looking for driven, organized, and analytical International Supply Chain Analyst to assist in: Production and inventory planning, vendor management, supply chain data analysis, data modeling, and research. Position allows candidate opportunity to experience International Supply Chain Management within the global bicycle industry. POSITION SUMMARY: The International Supply Chain Analyst will play a key role in production planning for bicycle crank assembly Taiwan operations, production scheduling and inventory management to support Taiwan production operations, and communicating with domestic/overseas vendors. Candidate will utilize strong IT data analytical/modeling knowledge to establish and analyze large data sets. In depth research of multi-faceted supply chain / logistics scenarios to develop modeling, which defines cost/benefits and derives optimized cost effective solutions. They will participate as a core member of Gates Carbon Drive team, working closely with the Commercialization/Supply Chain Manager to produce product on a timely basis to meet fast paced growing customer demand. The ideal candidate will bring an exceptional work ethic, diversity of thought and process and a willingness to learn and grow over the length of their tenure. The successful candidate for this position will be collaborative by nature, have the ability to think creatively, and be comfortable tackling specific problems pertaining to International Supply Chain Management. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned. -Analyze customer demand to devise a bicycle crank assembly production schedule. Ensure proper supplies are available to produce finished product. -Utilize Mandarin speaking skills to communicate with Taiwan vendor(s) to ensure materials and labor are available. Finalize and communicate weekly production schedule to Taiwan Assembly operations. -Work with Taiwan QA team on material non-compliance issues impacting production. -Consistently analyze supply chain / logistics data, costs and processes to ensure optimized scenarios. -Collaborate with internal and external partners as needed to research and resolve issues. -Participate on project teams and assists with ad hoc business needs.



  • PhD Degree in Supply Chain / Logistics required.
  • 1-5 yrs. work experience. Degree mandatory.
  • Strong communication skills – written, oral and presentation.
  • Excellent IT Skills required. Strong proficiency in these IT systems:
    • Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, Visio
    • Oracle ERP / Value Chain Planning (VCP)
    • Ariba / Bar Code generation software
  • Carbon Drive product knowledge (metal sprocket and belt technologies) a plus.
  • Competencies working with large datasets to deliver comprehensive insights.
  • Bicycle manufacturing Industry knowledge desirable.
  • Mandarin language skills required
  • International business (China/Taiwan) experience required.
    • Demonstrates confidence and good judgment.
    • Ability to provide creative solutions in difficult scenarios.
    • Possess a passion working with and learning from individuals from various countries/cultures.
    • Must have excellent interpersonal, influential and organizational skills.
    • Experience running projects while maintaining progress against established timelines and quality guidelines.
    • Exercise good judgment in dealing with confidential information.
